Western Activities Council ( WAC) is a organization on the campus of Missouri Western State University.

They create events for students to enjoy on campus. For instance, they play movies, game nights, concerts, etc.

They find plenty of ways to keep the students on campus involved so that they can enjoy the college career.

For WAC they have their E-board and to become a regular member you have to come to three meetings and after three meetings fill out a application.

With COVID-19 being here in the fall of 2020 the semester seemed to be shut down and nothing to do but have zoom classes and do school work and homework.

But WAC stepped in and had another plan. This fall semester would not go to waste nor will the spring semester.

The WAC E-board consist of president, Nah’ Ryan Reed-Crawford, vice president, Darius Wherry, and chair of entertainment, Araimani Wade.

WAC meetings a held every Wednesday in Blum 218–219 at 4pm to 5pm.

The meetings consist of what events should be created and what events are about to happen. Also, whom should work the events and what times will the members be available.

Also, in the meetings they have little ice breakers to get everyone warmed up in the meeting. Right along with “Boogie Woogie Time” which a time to stretch and dance to some music.

Going towards the end of the meetings a group activity happens. Just to keep the meetings blood flowing. Then Announcements come into play at the end of the meetings.

WAC has had some great events this semester so far: Paint & Sip, Musical Chairs, and they even had a alternate Homecoming Week called “Fright Week.” All of the following the COVID-19 guidelines of course.

Overall, WAC has done a great job of keeping this campus life fun and will continue to do even with Covid-19 here.
